During the #Disruption22 launch event, Rui Miguel Nabeiro shared with us a bit of his vision when it comes to the challenges that come with his position as Grupo Nabeiro’s CEO: Innovation. More importantly, the understanding that collaboration is the key to unlocking innovation – which is easier said than done, right? Luckily, he shared 4 steps he considers crucial for every business that aims to strike a balance between 3 concepts.
Innovate Beyond Borders
Expanding the idea of collaboration across borders is a good way to sharpen your vision of how to respond to challenging problems. Step outside of your comfort zone and dabble your feet in uncharted waters.
Build Bridges
Reaching out to different sources of knowledge and delivering a clear, concise message is paramount. The wider your network, the more beneficial it will be for you. So instead of spending countless hours behind a screen, it’s time to close those laptops and head to that Founders networking event happening across town.
Invest in Deep Relationships
Getting to know the people behind your partnerships and building a relationship with them certainly pays off. At our mother company, Grupo Nabeiro, success is mostly attributed to the company’s, rather, its workforce’s ability to establish and nurture relationships.
Have a Shared Purpose
There’s no other way to put it: partnerships are likely to fail if people don’t have a purpose in common. Everyone must be willing to work for the same goal. Not sure what your purpose is? Start by asking yourself ‘why am I willing to forgo a tropical vacation in favour of staying put to ready the launch of a new product?”
